OUR POLICIES

Payment is expected at the time of service for all encounters, inlcuding all laboratory services, and/or tests performed.  A waiver acknowledging this policy must be signed.

Insurance claims will be generated for those who pay us upfront.  Then insurance reimbursement will be sent to patients.  Insurance that Dr. Vinitsky is a participating provider will be submitted by our office, but co-pay is expected at the time of service.

Fees for Medical Reports and Testimony, research and administrative fees are collectible in advance.

Scheduling for visits is by appointment only.  Patients calling in should provide a reasonably accurate symptom list so that appropriate time can be allotted.   Other administrative details (like other family prescriptions, forms completion, etc.) will be deferred to another occasion, as a courtesy to other patients who have also scheduled appointments.

Cancellations 24 hours advanced notice for established patients otherwise there will be a $25 charge.  48 hours notification is necessary for new patients and physicals.  There will be a $100 charge without the appropriate notification.  Cancelling the day of an appointment counts as a "missed appointment" and the patient will be charged.  Emails cancelling appointments, WILL NOT be regarded as an appropriate form of notification.  There must be a phone call or a voice message left with the answering service or staff member.

After hours emergency information is available through the answering service               (866)961-6802         (866)961-6802).   Dr. Vinitsky or a backup physician will be available.  Lengthy consultations will be charged.

Prescription refills will be accommodated as soon as practical.   Expect a 48 hour turnaround.   Do not wait until the weekend or after hours to renew.

A primary goal is to provide a timely encounter without interruption.  That does not imply that every visit will result in immediate and complete cures and treatment.

A current fee schedule is on display at the office.  In general, fees are based on a current charge of $350/hr for the first hour consultation and $300/hr for established patients.

Environmental Evaluations are comprehensive and are likely to be expensive.  The testing is consistent with quality medical care.  Results will only be reviewed in person unless the patient is out of state.  Phone consulations are $25 for every 5 minutes. Although, regular follow-ups are encouraged for continued treatment.  Emails that include medical questions or advice regarding treatment WILL be atleast $5. Depending on the amount of time the doctor spends on the answer, the email may be more.

Medical Reports to insurance companies, agencies, etc., depend on a thorough evaluation.  Rebuttals are sometimes required.  There will be a charge depending on the time the doctor spends on the report.

Insurance

Enlightened Medicine accepts a few insurance companies.  Patients with insurance that Dr. Vinitsky is not a participating provider will pay in full at time of service.  One claim form will be generated at each visit for submission by the patient for reimbursement.  The companies that Dr. Vinitsky is a participating provider (will be submitted by the office) are as follows:

• United Healthcare

• Mamsi

• MDIPA (referrals only)

• Optimum Choice (referrals only)

• GEHA

• Alliance (other small companies that are affiliated)

• Coventry

Dr. Vinitsky is NOT a participating provider for Medicare, but out of courtesy we submit claims as well as the secondary for Medicare patients.
